53rd Wiener Ball in The Netherlands

The board of the Stichting Oostenrijkse Cultuur in Nederland announces the 53rd Wiener Ball in the Netherlands!

On June 11, this edition of the Wiener Ball will be organized as Wiener Sommer Ball. Shortly after the 52nd Wiener Ball in February 2020, the Covid pandemic broke out. Also in 2021, due to the high infection rate and the measures taken by the government, we had to refrain from organizing a Wiener Ball.

In close consultation with the management of Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk aan Zee, the 53rd edition of the ball will take place in early summer. Depending on the weather conditions, the summer ball will give unique opportunities for beautiful photos and for a great mood in the restaurants or on one of the hotel’s many terraces. The formula remains that of a traditional Wiener Ball, in which the ladies in their long white robes and the gentlemen in cravate blanche/white tie costume or gala uniform show the ball guests, in unique formation dances, what they have rehearsed in the weeks before.

The board has succeeded, in a good cooperation with and support of the brand-new music palace Amare in The Hague, to organize the dance lessons for the debutants in the beautiful dance studio of Amare. Amara is uniquely situated next to The Hague City Hall and a short distance from the train station, the tram and bus stops and the center of The Hague with its wide selection of restaurants.
