Dance classes in November

Preparing for the 56th Wiener Ball on February 22, 2025 in Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin

Two weekends in a row, the debutants had to make a long journey to the far north. First, early this month to Groningen for the dance class at Vindicat. For three hours the debutants practiced different dances and continued learning the choreography. After this, dinner took place at Vindicat with more than 80 people in attendance. Traditionally, during this dinner, the debutants and the various boards always give a short speech after raising their glasses. At the end of the dinner, the ambiance was good, and the music went back on. Since Groningen is not around the corner, overnight accommodation had been arranged and the 50 debutants who had signed up for it could go out in Groningen after the dinner. Unfortunately for the various boards and committees, the next morning the dance class took place in Utrecht, where they had to be present early. This dance class at the Maltezerhuis was also a great success! After a warm welcome by chairmen Antoinette Nikkels van der Veen-Hermans and Maurice ridder de van der Schueren, the 70 ball guests and parents could get to know one another over coffee and tea. Then the dance class started, however, the dance teachers soon found out that the dance floor was so full that the group had to be split into two. This festive day ended with drinks. The long-awaited weekend in Den Helder was up next. The weekend started with a 4-course dinner at the Marine Club with wine pairing. During the evening, there was live music which the debutants made good use of. After this, they left for the Warmerdam family estate where 50 debutants stayed overnight. The next morning after a nice breakfast, it was time for the dance class at the Royal Naval Institute (KIM). The beautiful great hall was ready for the debutantes. After the three-hour dance class, this unforgettable weekend did come to an end, however, they already have the Friesenrock dance class in Rotterdam with the former debutants to look forward to.
